Microsoft Business Solutions Increases R & D in Denmark
50 new developers to join Danish development team.
Microsoft® Business Solutions announced it is furthering its commitment to business applications research and development (R&D) with plans to expand the development team in Denmark by 20 per cent. This investment in new employees is a key element of Microsoft Business Solutions’ long-term strategic goal to create a global centre of excellence at the development centre in Vedbæk, Copenhagen.
This significant expansion of our R&D efforts sends a strong signal to small and medium businesses across EMEA and the rest of the world that Microsoft is committed to delivering leading-edge business applications - both existing and new products that can help small and medium businesses optimise their business processes, says Niels Bo Theilgaard, general manager, research and development at Microsoft Business Solutions in Copenhagen.
Microsoft Business Solutions in Vedbæk not only has a strong focus on the enhancement of existing solutions, but also upon developing the next generation of business applications for Microsoft Business Solutions, using .NET technology.
It is Microsoft’s ambition to make Copenhagen a global centre of excellence for the development of current and future generation products for Supply Chain Management (SCM), including manufacturing, buying, distribution and planning, says Niels Bo Theilgaard.
The offices in Vedbæk, Copenhagen, are the EMEA-region’s headquarters for Microsoft Business Solution, and the division’s largest development centre outside the US. In addition to the development centre in Copenhagen, Microsoft Business Solutions has development centres in Redmond and Fargo, USA.
